Note to Self
The book has bite sized chapters so that it can be undertaken one step at a time, just like life.
Note to self: I do not have to take this day all at once, but rather one step, one breath, one moment at a time. I am only one person. Things will get done when they are done.
These words resonated with me as I am aware that so many of us seem to be experiencing a hard time of late, whether it’s our health, work, finances, communication, slow progress, or relationship issues.
My Mum says it’s due to mercury retrograde, I believe it’s a life lesson I cannot see the teaching in right now, and that life is harder at some times than others.
We all have a one hundred percent survival rate of getting through hard times to date, as look, we are still here. Remind yourself that you are enough and only do what you can realistically do today. Rather than voicing words of inadequacy or frustration, be kind to yourself.
With two of our four children off school at present, so many tasks are not being achieved, but I’ve started ending my self-judging sentences with “…and that’s okay.” For example, “I didn’t write a single word for my book today…and that’s okay.” “I didn’t get around to returning that phone call…and that’s okay.” Everything is okay, and you are going to be okay.
One step, one breath, one moment at a time, for you are one person…a blooming amazing person at that.
